Topographic Surveys

A topographic survey is undertaken to produce a plan mapping the contours of the ground and any features on or under the surface of the earth. The purpose of a topographic survey is generally to assist in the design of a development. A topographic survey may be commissioned for many reasons such as the development of an extension or new residence (see Survey Certificate), it may be for the purpose of designing a new road, residential estate or for a proposed wind farm or solar farm site.

Landmark Surveys are able to employ one or a combination of technologies to carry out this survey including terrestrial survey by total station, Static and RTK GPS/GNSS observations or photogrammetric survey by UAV/Drone (see UAS-Aerial Surveying).
